July 5-9, 2023

In this course, we will explore the Ayurveda view on five common infections diseases worldwide: Covid 19, Dengue fever, Lyme disease, Herpes Simplex Virus, and Viral Hepatitis. For each disease, we will cover causative factors, pathology, treatment principles, case presentations, and experience sharing.

Enhancing health and wellness involves developing a deeper understanding of infectious diseases, exploring the Ayurvedic perspective on their pathophysiology and management. By incorporating Ayurvedic principles, individuals can make dietary and lifestyle modifications to support their well-being. Additionally, recognizing the significance of Ayurvedic purificatory therapies can play a crucial role in preventing infectious diseases.

For each disease, we will cover causative factors, pathology, treatment principles, case presentations, and experience sharing. Topics will include:

Lifestyle and Routine: Ayurveda emphasizes the importance of maintaining a balanced
lifestyle and routine.
Diet and Nutrition: Ayurveda recognizes the mind-body connection and suggests that diet
can influence mental health
Herbal Remedies: Ayurveda utilizes various herbs and plant-based remedies that are
believed to have a positive impact on mental health
Ayurvedic Therapies: Ayurveda offers a range of therapeutic treatments that can help
balance the body and mind.
Yoga and Meditation: Ayurveda and yoga are closely interconnected. Regular practice of
yoga asanas (physical postures) and pranayama (breathing exercises) can help calm the
mind.
Ayurvedic Counseling: Ayurvedic practitioners may offer counseling and guidance on
lifestyle modifications, stress management techniques, and incorporating Ayurvedic
principles into daily life
