Training Course: April 23-27, 2023

Many common illnesses today are linked to our digestion and the function of our digestive organs. The liver (yakrut) plays a central role in this intricate process.

In this course, we will explore the pathophysiology of liver disease from an Ayurveda viewpoint. We will also discuss how to make healthy lifestyle choices to support the health and proper function of the liver, including the wise application of purificatory methods to enhance the health of the liver.

Who can participate: Ayurveda practitioners, students and enthusiasts. We will share information for assisting clients with certain relevant conditions, as well as applying this information for self-care.

Topics to be covered:

Day 1: What does the liver do? (Liver and its functions)

Day 2: Role of Liver in Disease (Etiopathology, Symptoms and Risk factors)

Day 3: Liver Reviving Nutrition & Routine (Diet, Nutrition and Routine)

Day 4: Healing Liver Conditions (Principles and management)

Day 5: Liver Detox and Panchakarma (Purification therapies)


Objectives:

  1. To maintain health in a more effective way.
  2. A deeper awareness of role of liver in healthy and diseased people.
  3. To understand Ayurvedic view of pathophysiology and management of liver diseases.
  4. To make dietary and lifestyle modification based on Ayurveda principles.
  5. To understand the importance of Ayurvedic purificatory therapies in liver health.
