Training Course: May 4-8, 2022

In our modern times, the most common illnesses are considered “lifestyle diseases,” meaning they arise due to our daily behaviors – our routines, the foods we eat, the amount of physical movement we get, the degree of sound sleep we receive.

Ayurveda provides detailed guidance on how to live a healthy lifestyle, so we can both prevent and treat such lifestyle diseases. While modern medicine focuses on treatments to reduce symptoms after a disease manifests, Ayurveda shows us how to heal by treating the actual cause and helps us avoid these diseases in the first place through our lifestyle.

In this training, we review the Ayurveda perspective on 5 of the most common lifestyle diseases: Stress (anxiety and depression), hypertension (high blood pressure), obesity, diabetes, and thyroid disorders.

Who can participate: Ayurveda practitioners, students and enthusiasts. We will share information for assisting clients with certain relevant conditions, as well as applying this information for self-care.
